Chair / bench

I collaborated with Kat, an industrial design student at Pratt, to create these chairs from Stadshout wood; timber sourced from trees taken down in Amsterdam.

Our design can be flipped to function as a bench or bar stool. We used traditional woodworking techniques, including proper joinery such as sliding dovetails. The result is elegant and refined, with an aesthetic rooted in simplicity.

This project was a valuable experience in working from raw wood to a finished piece, deepening my understanding of both design and craftsmanship.
